Product description. The Bosch GWS13-50VS 5-Inch Angle Grinder delivers more power than previous-generation models with the same size tool - 13 amps and up to 11,500 rpm. The lower variable-speed setting - 2,800 rpm - allows the operator to match speed to application.
Two of my 6" grinders are Metabos (I own 13 grinders in total) but for my die grinder I went with a Makita variable speed and don't regret the decision at all. Metabo's big claim to fame with grinders is their safety clutch - in case you ever bind a cutoff wheel.

It was $279 AUD from Gettoolsdirect. I agree with the performance, it has plenty of power and the variable speed is great!

Makita make a unit in between the Dremil and Milwaukee that has a 1/4 inch collet but it is not variable speed. I did a lot of research on die grinders and the Milwaukee, Bosch and AEG are all similar in quality and features. There is a big difference between any of these models compared to Dremil but there is also a big difference in price.
